Willo Parramatta

Food was decent, although flavour of oyster could of been more saucy Went on a Friday night, got 2 of our entree and no food for the next hour. Drinks was not far from food as we waited a while for them also. After asking our waitress a few time who kept telling us its coming, we had to ask someone else who finally went to sort it - then was told we had to wait longer for the food due to their “technical difficulty” and when we wanted to cancel and leave then it came out all at once. Had live music outside - was seated very closed and was very loud. This isn’t my first rodeo at Willo and had previously had a nice experience, therefore its is the reason for my return.

A very unassuming restaurant. Saddled in the CBD on the corner of a busy intersection yet this place takes you away from it all. The bar stands in perfect place to invite people passing by to step on in for a drink, yet it is the food that stands above it all. Every plate we ordered was sensational and full of flavour. We loved the honey within the Zucchini flowers and the lamb just fell off the bone with such ease. The menu is vast and is great to have a pick of a few choices to share to experience the vastness of flavours.

Loved our time here celebrating a busy year and birthday for my wife. The place looks and feels like it’s all class with great atmosphere and service. We were warmly accommodated with our pram which I forgot to include in the booking. Let’s begin our journey. Birds nest to start. Amazing. Presented beautifully - perfect combination of creamy sweet and salty. The next stop on our journey was the kingfish and the crispy pork ribs. Kingfish was faultless. A perfect dish for a warm summers evening. Ribs were cooked to perfection. Fall off the bone melt in ya mouth kind of thing. Generous portions with a great little pesto that just said I’m not just your average pig but there’s more once you get to know me kind of thing. Excellent. We sat pretty satisfied and wondered how’d we go with the mains. The crab and prawn Girasoli was definitely the highlight. All the textures together - the light and fresh seafood with some delicious lemon butter and whatever those crispy bits were rounded out the dish with spectacular finesse. The steak scotch fillet was cooked to perfection. However by then we were pretty full so it was hard to appreciate it had we been more hungry. A little bit too over salted for my liking. A side of truffle fries kept us from finishing everything but the next day leftovers made me the envy of the office. All in all a great experience if you’re looking to spoil yourself or someone else.

We came to Willo for a quite beverage before our dinner reservation. We sat at the bar and it was a lovely experience. Loved the signature cocktail collection. Great emphasis on rum based drinks, which I love. We spoke to one of the bartenders who said that they had just updated their cocktail menu. The put new items on the drinks menu regularly and update their signature cocktails on a frequent basis. We tried four different cocktails between us and they were all great. Loved the theatre of the experience too. Great service.
